About Us
Why an Olive Branch?
The olive tree is a symbol of reconciliation, healing relationships, hope, victory and above all, a sign of peace. Their roots are so strong that they can re-grow even when it seems like they've been totally decimated. A well rooted olive tree can bear fruit for thousands of years and many generations.
Olive Branch Counseling was formed because we are passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and growth, even when they’ve been through the toughest of times. We aim to extend an olive branch to the River Valley community that provides help and restoration.
Our licensed therapists offer play therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and marriage/couples therapy. We serve toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We are trained in various models of therapy including Registered Play Therapy (RPT™️), Attachment Focused Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Family Systems Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years with experience in school based and clinical settings. I work with adolescent and adult clients in individual sessions on trauma issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, and life changes in aging. One of the therapies I use is Cognitive Behavior Therapy which helps you to become aware of your triggers for negative behaviors and gives you tools to change those thoughts and behaviors . I am also a Certified Therapist for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR therapy doesn't require talking about the details of the event. EMDR instead focuses on changing the emotions, thoughts or behaviors that result from a distressing experience. My passion as a social worker is to meet the client where they are in life which may include connecting with resources in the community to improve your environment which also improves mental health.
